OVERALL REFLECTION:
Over the course of the semester Mr. Fuchs has taught me many things. He
has taught us an interesting system of classifying things as either ninjas, pirates, zombies, or vampires. He has also
taught us to not do what "The Man" tells us to. He taught us not to jump through the hoops that are put in front of
us. Not to do what everyone thinks we should do. He taught us to follow our own path.
Throughout the semester we have been tuaght many things. The semester
started off with Troy having us write a personal narrative. We he read my frist one he was really scared. he was
scared because when I wrote the first one I thought that he wanted us to just write a stroy not a personal stroy. So
my first stroy was very intense, but what I wrote was full of detail and he was impressed with what i had written.
the next paper that we wrote for troy was a paper about music genres.
i chose to write about the genre of heavy metal. when i got my paper back from troy we had a discussion about what truly
was the start of heavy metal. we each had our own opinions, but we were both right at the same time. the feedback
he gave me on that paper has helped me alot with my future writings.
After that paper we wrote a persuassive paper about any topic we
wanted to write about. i chose to write about the death penalty and how we shouldn't use it. i wrote about the
states that do use the death penalty and the states that don't use the death penalty. i found the the states that don't
use the death penalty have a lower crime rate than the states that do use the death penalty. i also wrote about the
different methods used in the death penalty. how each method and to be done to perfection or it would not be a quick
and painless death. because everyone in class wrote such long papers about this we never got our papers back because
he was still grading them. i would ave really liked to see what he had to say about my paper. i always appreciate
his input on whatever i am writing.
the next paper that we wrote was a paper about a movie. the
movie i chose to write about was "Little Miss Sunshine." from a literary aspect i thought it would be a good movie to
write about. i really enjoyed the movie as a spectator, but after i wrote this paper i loved the movie even more.
this paper made me really understand why the movie was directed the way it was and why it was written the way it was.
Everything i was taught in Mr. Fuchs' class this semester i will
most definetly take with me for the rest of my life. aside from him teaching us many different techniques of writing
he also taught us to be our own person. not to do what everyone tells us to. and because of this i thank him for
what we have learned.
